rain rain go away

The hub texted me today with a dinner request. I was a nice wife and made it. Taco soup its yummy, easy and great for rainy or fall days.
I am going to share a recipe for the first time on this blog
here is goes.

Taco Soup
you need:

1 pound hamburger (not pictured, eww)
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 can of corn
1 can of kidney beans (or whatever kind of beans you would like)
1 can of diced tomatoes

First brown your hamburger, drain and add taco seasoning. Add to a pot with kidney beans, corn, and diced tomatoes. Simmer on medium until warm. Told you it was easy.

optional toppings:
sour cream
grated cheddar
tortilla chips

Record-breaking rainfall that flooded city streets brought partly from Hurricane Karl.

It poured all weekend, i was scared to leave the apt. Every time i did i soaked my feet.

Okay so the rain is not going to go away, i am in DESPERATE need of some rain boots for hurricane season. I have never owned any, snow boots yes but rain boots no.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hunter rain boots and Tretorn rain boots are the preferred kinds for us city living chicks. They last a long time, I am actually in the market for some hunter boots...

good luck with the rain, I might try this taco soup...I love easy recipes.

wow that's so crazy! well all I have to say is that i LOVE rain boots! I think they're so cute. My sister in laws got some way cute ones from target and walmart. They are black and white poke-a-dot but other than that no idea!

mmm I love your taco soup. I have no advice for you on rainboots because I have never had any. Which makes me sad and I am going to look into them right now and I will update you with information I find.

get hunter boots. they are really cute and last forever! you need them in seattle and they are my go to boot! you can sometimes find them on sale at nordstroms or whole foods (random place but they sell them) they are typically around $100. but totally worth it.
