JULY

For the record I am pretty sure I blinked at the end of June and then it was August...seriously though where has the summer gone? I think this heat is getting to my head... anyways here are a few of our July highlights!

This is a little out of order but too exciting not to be first!!!! Our newest nephew was born!!! Beckham Bruce Evans was born July 15th to Ryan's brother Travis and Janae! We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet this sweet little face!

And yes, I did also talk about a new niece and nephew in my last post.... that's because there have been THREE new Evans babies in one month!!! Here are the newest little cousins all together... these little cuties almost look like they could be triplets! Uncle Ryan and Aunt Whittney can't wait to hold you all!

Before all of that goodness we celebrate the 4th of July by playing and grilling at the beach all day long with a few other couples and then heading to the fireworks at night! It was a pretty successful day of celebrating the USA!!!

Last week we went to a Hooks baseball game and as we arrived Ryan and our friend Josh were asked to participate in the "Bat Race" in-between innings, I quickly answer yes for the two of them. Someone may or may not have bribed the guy to make them spin until one of them puked... there was no vomiting but there was a good 45 seconds or more of spinning and some falling down. Announcer guy was definitely trying to make that extra 50 bucks... Funny Stuff.

Not only is there baby fever in the Evans family right now but also at Ryan's work! We had the first of the showers for little Logan Welch. It was a hit but how could it not be with one of Lorena's cakes there... not only are they are super cute but they are so crazy delicious! Next shower is for baby Brown! If any of you have cute ideas for a baby girl shower? Please share :)

Little Taylor is is still the princess of the house! There is not much in between for this little girl she is either passed out or so wild I can't snap a pic. She has started running with me so that helps get some of her energy out... 2 miles = puppy marathon for those little legs!
And a little about today... which is technically in August. Oh-well still not changing the name of this title. We declared this weekend sticky buddy weekend! Today was a mini-road trip up to San Antonio for lunch at a cute little french cafe.... pastries yummmmm. Then a peaceful afternoon at the temple. Followed by a Nordstrom's trip :) nothing crazy just some new shades and a dress but a can't help not do a little "back to school shopping" I miss that. But I guess being a grown up and shopping year around is a little more fun! Oh and I fixed my phone... if you shatter the back of your phone the Apple Store will replace for $30... totally worth being able to take off my phone case and not having little shards of glass coming out of it randomly, just an FYI it happens to you :) We ended up cruising around the River Walk and ate some bomb tacos.... still thinking about them! And that was about all for our very much needed Team Evans road trip/sticky buddy day!

June

June:
Aka best month ever and my birthday month! This year was the year, the big quarter of a century...25!
Ryan and I partied it up for my b-day! They day before my birthday Ryan surprised me and delivered the best red velvet cake in the entire world! The big day June 6th we both took the day off work and headed to Port A! We had a nice lunch on the water then rented paddle boards. We where first timers and had an absolute blast! It was such a fun afternoon, I fell in love with paddle boarding1 I also made some new friends, I had two turtles swim up to my board to say hi and a dolphin that followed us around, it was a perfect day. I was absolutely spoiled by my family, friends and Ryan. Birthdays are the best!

Make sure to scroll to the end of this post for some more exciting news!!!

Ryan's older brother Chris and his wife Jessica had little Paizley Lucille Evans on June 5th.
and Ryan's little sister Shelby and her husband Bryan had Baron James Smith on June 16th.
We can't wait to meet these two!!!!

May

May:
You know you have not blogged in a long time when you start to title your posts something like "May".
May was an interesting month to say the very least, Ryan was away for work for the month and I was in Texas. There was very very little communication between us, next to none. But I survived and I learned to occupy my self, Taylor had oodles of attention and a lot of great friends down here made sure I was taken care of :)

I went to a toga party (flash back to college) fundraiser with the girls from work for an organization called Triumph of Kids Cancer. The party was a blast and lots of money was raised for this amazing organization. And I totally bought my first ever auction item it was a bit of a rush making sure I was not out bid... but I wanted that Gift Card to my amazing hair dresser Rick, okay it was just Rachel and I fighting over it, but I won and it was fun!

Allyx my bestie came to visit me in Texas and just in time too, I didn't think I could have taken one more night alone. We had a blast of a week and she told me the best news everrrr.... Baby Moedl on board! SO freaking excited!!! Ryan ended up coming home during Allyx's visit which happened to be on his birthday so naturally we had to make signs and embarrassed him at the airport, it totally worked :) For old man Ryan's birthday we went to a steakhouse for dinner, ate cupcakes and played at the beach the next day.

THANKS FOR COMING TO VISIT ALLYX! IT WAS A BLASTY BLAST!
YOU ARE THE BEST!

Idaho

The end of April beginning of May I got to visit home and go to my little (yet not so little) brother Aaron's Mission Farewell! I was such a nice trip home! The only thing missing was Ryan, he was away for work and could not make it which was a bummer but Aaron had so many friends and family members there to support him, it was amazing! He did an awesome job on his talk, he had us all laughing and crying... miss that guy but I am loving his weekly e-mails from the MTC. He will be in NYC at the end of the month, I am SO excited for him!

I had lots of family time while I was home! I got to go the Salt Lake City temple with Aaron, my parents and my Grandma Potter it was a wonderful time. We also had to check out the new City Creek mall I was very impressed! I got catch one of Emily's softball games while was home so that was fun... and it is official I got totally got gipped in the athletic department, my siblings are little all-stars. We had some family pictures taken while I was home before Aaron left, they ended up just being my parents and siblings because Ryan was not there so Tyler and Charlotte go kicked out of them haha. And last but definitely not least I finally got to meet Charlotte!!! Oh I could not get enough of that girl, I was a totally a baby hog that week and I think Kaylee and Tyler were excited to have there child back after I left!

Other fun things while I was home, I got to a stay with Nattie in her cute little cottage house in SLC and ride her bike around the adorable neighborhood! I got to have lunch with my sweet friend Amber and see her adorable baby bump! Visiting my amazing mother-in-law. Lunch at the Snakebite (yum) with my sister-in-laws Shelby and Janae and niece Ansiton. Anistion has grown up so much I could not believe it! Plus Shelby and Janae where both preggers then so I got to see two more baby bumps! I spent a raining day in Driggs with my family and Grandparents, I think a need just a week vacation there :)

And the pictures....

Aunts, Uncles and cousins! I loved seeing everyone while I was home!

Such a great trip just getting to spend time with these lovelies!

Dying to hold her again... 6 weeks and counting :)

April

Awww I miss those beautiful April days of 80 degrees... we are baking in some 100+ weather.... not my cup of tea! April was a good month for us, Ryans mom came to visit and we had a blast eating yummy food, relaxing and catching some rays at the beach! We discovered Taylor is NOT a fan of the beach, turns out it absolutely terrifies her. Ryan stared playing softball with his co-workers and it is super entertaining to watch, at least Taylor and I think it is. We also busted out our bikes! Ryan had the brilliant idea on Easter to load them in the car to take a ride down the bay front, it was a fabulous little family outing we all enjoyed and definitely will do again once the weather cools down a bit!

Hey there bloggers it's about time you heard from me, I figured I would give a shot at this whole blogging thing Whittney really seams to like. And she has not updated in two months, okay okay she has been really busy with Ryan's mom coming in town, then going to Idaho, Ryan went out of town for-ev-er, my Aunt Allyx came to visit, then Ryan and Whittney both had birthdays... Oh I am sorry how terribly rude I should probably introduce myself, I am Taylor. I just turned 6 months old so I am like super independent and stuff now. Whittney adores me and takes me with her everywhere, yep even to work! I am the greeter, I have a whole fan club and everything! Ryan and I hang out after work and on the weekends I love to race that guy (I usually win) he is a fine fellow. Oh another thing you should know about me I have a British accent. Anyways I will leave you with a few glamor shots of my fine self during my favorite time of the day. Nothing beats four o'clock when the sun starts coming in the window and I can sunbathe! Ta ta for now!

Spring has Sprung!

First things first, I am so excited it's Spring!!! I flipped through my InStyle Mag today while laying out and there where SO many fun colors and prints it just made me absolute giddy!!!

Its been an exciting two weeks over here, having a new little puppy definitely makes for a
lot of entertainment and work! Here are a few shots of our sweet little Taylor, we just adore her...

A few other highlights...
Ryan was sick.
Then I got sick.... boring.
Then Ryan went hunting somewhere in the middle of texas and murdered a hog.

Proof.

Taylor got her second set of puppy shots and was such a champ!
I like the rest of the world wanted to see the Hunger Games last night... I loved it, and Ryan liked it!
We bought our 3rd Beach Pass... I can't believe this will be our 3rd summer living in Texas, crazy.
And we enjoyed our first trip of the year to the beach. (I have been waiting patiently for all of the spring break madness to die down). It was well worth the wait and a perfect 80 degrees out today!

Happy Spring Bloggers!!!
