what: What, that is the big question, what is this blog about? It's partially for far away family and friends to keep up on our lives. But it is also part Whittney's random thoughts, travels, recipes, wish lists, movie reviews, personal book club, television shows, spiritual thoughts, story telling, pictures, food posts, june, a creative outlet which I mostly post all of that on my June blog now. Pretty much this blog is a big jumbled mess of Whittney. One thing I have not tried yet is a fashion post. I am thinking about it, I love clothes way too much. One of the bloggers I followed did a whole month of fashion posts. It was awesome. February is a shorter month maybe I will try it.

a few things I don't really understand....

beauty pageants. I don't really understand the point and they seem well just kind of vain. Don't get me wrong I LOVE getting all dressed up and pretty things just as much as the next girl. I just really don't understand the point of showcasing your self to an audience. I find Beauty Pageants for little girls even more strange. All the make-up they put on their cute little faces just looks freakish, like on the movie Little Miss Sunshine. BUT in all fairness I HAVE never been to one or had any part in one, the closest I have come to one of these is watching Miss Congeniality. Which I loved by the way. That movie kind of gave me the impression that it is about girl bonding kind of a thing? Or is it more of a tradition? Do people do it for the scholarships? I think it is silly to form a opinion based only from what I see in movies so enlighten me people. What's the deal with them?

facebook poking. Is it flirty, funny, is it like saying hi, or is just as creepy to you?

changing a tire. I have been taught several times, but it still seems such an impossible task to me. Maybe I just need a girl to teach me next time?

And completely off topic, if any of you hear about Taylor Swift taking friend applications please pass along the information to me because I think I would be perfect for the job.

The Compass Rose

Friday i had the day off, i lovvvve my days off. usually they mean getting stuff done but Friday was just an enjoyable day. My day, from the end to the beginning, why not?

We ended the night playing settlers with our friends and watch "The nightmare before Christmas" first time i had seen it and i loved it. But after it was one of those movie that i just kept thinking why have i not seen this before?!?

Before that I had quite the impulse buy...

Ryan said that this was the best purchase i have ever made (he is just happy that he does not have to play photographer anyone) because now i have a model to put my clothes on and I can take the pictures my self. i love it, its perfect i can even pin stuff i am making to it, which means i will hopefully be getting less pin pricks. Her name is Gisele.

i found this gem in a store that was going out of business next door to the cafe i had lunch at with my friend. Cafe Heaster's.

OH MY GOSH. i did not stop talking about this place all day long, ask Ryan he had to listen to me. When you find something awesome and you want to share it with the ones you love right? (if anyone comes to visit us in south texas we will take you :) So naturally i tell Ryan how we have to go back asap so he can try it and his reply... oh ya that place is great i went there a about two MONTHS ago with the guys from work, i thought you would like it.... WHAT!?! and you never told me..... ohhh its sooo good though.

Estate sale!!! Jessica & I woke up super early and drove outside of Corpus to the estate sale. I was excited cause this one had a lagre sewing room in it and was hoping to get a serger no luck but I did find these treasures.

excitment

some things i am currently excited about...

My little sister Kaylee is engaged to be married!! I am so happy for her and her finance Tyler Pond they are so cute together the wedding is July 31st, which means i get to visit Idaho soon after we move :)

I get to go visit my husband next weekend, nuff said. 4 weeks and we will be together again for good!

I can't wait to wear the new skirts i am making. There will be three so far i have one and a half, i cant wait to wear them this summer!

Next weeks Glee, lady GaGa week yesssss!!!! i loved this weeks and will not reveal how many times i have watched already. ohhh i love this show.

and while i am on a t.v. note gossip girl season 4, can't wait! all i have to say is they better not try and kill off chuck bass.

and of coarse i am counting the days till eclipse comes out!!! june 30th will be our FIRST day living in texas so either i will have to make some girlfriends crazy fast or i better start thinking of a way to trick ryan into going with me.

i am thinking... that i can not wait for a-rock to get here to show me the mother load of suitcases she found today. 13. 13 vintage suitcases i am so excited i can hardly contain myself. Must go to Targhee before the season is over. I miss my best friend, 4 more months! And GG starts back up on MONDAY yay!

i am wearing...Blue baggy BYU-I sweat pants and a blue t shirt from my 6th grade softball team it has a #2 on the back... how in the world does this still fit? yes i am dressed in unicolor.

i am creating...LOTS of stuff actually, some adorable ear warmers, headbands, hair clips, up cycled vintage suitcases, a necklace and a secret.... yes i have ALOT of projects going on right now!

i am reading... georgia nicolson series... so freaking funny they are a MUST read also reading the Book of Mormon with my fam the plan is to have it done before I move :)

i am hoping... to have my etsy all up and running in the next week or two and even more hoping that people will actually like my stuff.

one of my favorite things... the smell of clean laundry, good books, SUMMER i can not wait to swim swim swim!!! And right now e-mails from my hub and getting to talk to him! okay so that was more than one.

my upcoming plans... hmmm sleepover tonight with allyx and watch some GG, work, phone date with the hub on Sunday! Ali's baby shower! A trip to see Ryan in about a month!

i love them so much that maybe i wore around my new purple tights all day even though i was just doing homework at home, just maybe.

i also love lower case i's so much better then capital I's. Ryan thinks that i just forget to capitalize and that i am punctuating wrong (which okay he has a point i do that a lot) but hey its my blog i will do what i want. :)

W, this letter entertained me on my 40 min drive to school today. Not sure why W I started of thinking about a good name for my portfolio website and got sucked into the letter W. I am so excited for summer, water, wake boarding and watermelon. That is when I passed the girl with the Wacky hair, every MWF I pass a girl on Hitt Road a little after eight I drive past a girl driving the opposite direction with super gothic makeup and the craziest hair! It is different everyday but ALWAYS straight up and out in some sort of mo-hawk. And I always wonder, how does she get in her car, how long does that take her, what kind of product does she use, and finally WHERE is she going?

Washington D.C. i miss exploring that city with Ryan, I would not mind living there some day. probably not Washington state though expect Seattle I liked Seattle, maybe not the rain but I liked the city.

Witches are cool, if I were a witch I would want to be a mix between Hermione and Elphaba. Hermione because I would want her brains, friends and spell knowledge. Elphaba for her for her bravery, beautiful voice and of coarse because she can defy gravity.

Wondering what our new calling is? We are now the 14-18 year old Sunday School teachers, its a small youth so they are tying to combine two classes. I am excited it will be a fun calling, we taught our first lesson on Sunday, it was scary.
